Unresolved trauma can feel like a nagging pain throughout our lives in ways that often do not seem direct. As adults, we may attempt to forget or gloss over the past. We may think, “my childhood was not that bad,” or “many people had it worse than I did.” We do not realize that these old wounds can have physical and psychological effects.
